So now you know a little bit more about me, but you might still have some questions. First, my name is pronounced like a boy “Carl,” not Carol or Carly or Carlton or Cheryl… I know, it’s tricky. I am a junior at Furman University, studying Religion and Communication Studies. I love my new home in Greenville, SC, but I will always be partial to my home in Wilmington, NC.
I created this blog for my Digital Communication class. I am hoping to learn how to use digital media to communicate effectively, get a clear message across to a broad audience, and to connect people with other people to solve problems. I am passionate about stories. Everyone has a unique story, but we can use them to connect and learn and grow, especially in the digital world in which we now live.
I am a follower of Christ. I am a daughter. I am a big sister and a little sister. I am a laugher and a crier (often at the same time). I am a listener. I am a lover of most types of music (but partial to James Taylor and NeedToBreathe). I am a list maker. I am a friend. I am an organizer. I am a people pleaser. I am a leader. I am a fan of Nashville (the TV show). I am a servant.
Thanks for stopping by!
